How to play Pickleball
Pickleball is a fun, fast-paced sport that combines tennis, badminton, and ping-pong. Here’s a quick basic on how to play:
The Basics
- Played on a badminton-sized court with a net slightly lower than tennis.
- You can play singles (1v1) or doubles (2v2).
- The game starts with an underhand serve, diagonally across the court.
Scoring
- Only the serving team can score.
- Games are typically played to 11 points, win by 2.
Key Rules
- The Double Bounce Rule: Each team must let the ball bounce once on their side before volleying.
- No-Volley Zone (Kitchen): Players cannot hit the ball in the air while standing in the kitchen (7ft from the net).
- If the ball goes out, into the net, or is volleyed from the kitchen, it’s a fault.
